Another 'Young Leader' at CETC!

Another CETC gymnast, who has completed the Young Leadership Course has been highlighted by Scottish Gymnastics.
Emma Forrest completed the course, & had these positive comments about her experience:
"As a performance pathway gymnast for DMT, I have learnt a lot about how to think about my strengths and weaknesses, and the course helped me to identify other areas for improvement and I’m already noticing improvements.
In the gym, these skills will be useful when leading a group of gymnasts or helping out with the younger gymnasts too. I’m looking forward to putting the skills I’ve learned into practice.
What I learnt on the course will be helpful for my future career, as most jobs require good communication skills, and the ability to work well with others."

Together with fellow CETC gymnasts, Club member Kyla Fleming recently completed the Scottish Gymnastics Leadership Award & had this to say about her experience:
"I was given the chance to do the Leadership course and it was so fun! We learnt about how different people might feel differently about situations and how we can help.
I especially enjoyed working with my friends and completing it as a team.
Throughout this course I have learnt new skills to become a better leader, and I am confident that I know about the ways that I can help others by using my own experiences as a trampoline gymnast.
The course tutor delivered the theory part of the accredited course via video call, and even though we weren’t together in person, the value of the learning was still the same, and it worked really well.
I now feel more able to do things such as coaching or teaching when I am older and I have been inspired to continue working on my leadership skills."

Well done Kyla - & all our other CETC gymnasts who have successfully completed the course.
