The Loule Cup 2023

CETC’s Holly Allfrey was selected for her second consecutive year, to represent Scotland at the Loule Cup 2023, in Portugal.
In the 2022 event, she finished in 6th place in the Junior Female Double-Mini Trampoline (DMT) competition.
This year she competed in the same event, improving her qualification score by a staggering 3.500 marks from last year!! With two runs, each scoring 23.200, she won her qualification group and secured an automatic place in the finals, qualifying in 2nd place from the entire competition category!
Holly finished in 5th  overall, narrowly missing out on going on to compete in F2 for a medal. Well done Holly!
The Northern Ireland DMT Female Team, picked up the silver medals in the DMT Team event, with the joint N.I/Scotland DMT Mens Team winning Gold!! Well Done to all!

Holly Heads to Loule!

CETC DMT gymnast Holly, is on her way to Portugal, to compete with the Scotland DMT Team at the Loule Cup 2023, in Portugal.
The competition – which includes TRA, DMT & TUM gymnasts from 14 countries, starts tomorrow (Thurs 12th Oct) with the final day of competition on Saturday 14th.
This is Holly’s 2nd International call-up for Loule, having also been selected for the Scotland Team last year. Holly will compete on Thursday, & scores for the event can be followed here, with livestream here
CETC Head Coach Lauren – is also in Loule this week as DMT Head Coach for Northern Ireland.
Massive Good Luck Holly - & to all TRA, DMT & TUM gymnasts in the Scotland Team competing at the Event-  from everyone at CETC. Good Luck to the N.I Team too!

Great Weekend of Results for CETC at Nationals!

The Scottish National Championships 2023 were held at the weekend (30th Sept & 1st Oct) at Bells Sports Centre, Perth, with some fantastic results in all disciplines from CETC gymnasts!

In DMT, Holly retained her Championship title, winning gold in the FIG 15-16 women.
Archie also won gold & a Championship title, in the DMT Level 4 11-12 men category, together with the overall Level 4 DMT Form Award. Dylan secured a silver medal in the Level 3 15-16 men DMT, with Madeline taking 5th place & Emma H winning a bronze medal in the Level 3 17+ women DMT category.

At Level 2, Ellie secured a silver medal in the 13+ women category for DMT, with Evie in 8th place, Sarah in 10th & Tilda in 12th. Olivia won a silver medal in Level 1 9-12 women, with Isla in 15th in Level 1, 13+ category.

In Trampolining, Archie (Level 4, 11-12 men) & Fergus (Level 3, 13-14 men) both secured gold medals & Scottish Nationals titles, & Mya & Ollie secured Bronze medals in the L1 11-12 women & 13-17 men categories respectively, with Esme in 9th place & Skye in 12th in Level 1, 11-12 women.

Naomi just missed out on a medal in 4th place in the Level 9-10 women age group. In the 11-12 age group, Olivia came 5th in Level 3, 11-2 women, with Lacey taking 6th place in the 13-14 women category at the same level.
In Level 3, 15+ women category, the results were, Ellie 7th, Emma 14th & Tilda 15th. Ava came 9th & Emma H 11th, in the Level 4 17+ women category.

CETC trampoline gymnasts did brilliantly in the Synchro categories, with Mya & Evie securing a silver medal in the Thistle U15 category, and veterans Ava & Madeline not only securing gold medals in their SYN Saltire O15 group- but also the overall Synchro Championship trophy!
