On a very warm & sunny Friday 22nd June, the annual Ross High Schools Trampoline Competition took place at Ross High School in Tranent. City of Edinburgh Trampoline Club hosted the event, providing the coaches, judges and officials.
Around 50 gymnasts participated in the competition, including some pre- NDP Club members, with the majority of participants from the East Lothian Active Schools programme, representing 5 High School clusters, & ages from P1 to P7.
All the children had a great time taking part - & for many of them, it was their very first competition - performing in front of their parents & a crowd of spectators - & they all did really well!
Each child taking part received a personal certificate, and 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in each group received a medal. The winning School was awarded the annual trophy.
The results were a joint second place to … MUSSELBURGH BURGH PRIMARY SCHOOL and WEST BARNS PRIMARY SCHOOL. Great effort from both schools - well done!
The winner of the Ross High Schools Competition 2018 is ........ DUNBAR PRIMARY SCHOOL!!
A massive 'Congratulations' to Dunbar PS on winning this year's trophy, and thanks to all the CETC volunteers & the coaches for all their hard work in running the event on the day, and coaching all the classes prior to the competition to get the gymnasts prepared. Thanks also to parents for bringing their children along - & to every child who took part! Well done everyone!
