Fantastic (although VERY long day) at the final Scottish Nationals Qualification event of 2018.
Excellent performances from CETC gymnasts, with many of our 71 TRA & DMT entries competing at Perth for the very first time!!!
The morning started off with all our junior FIG DMT gymnasts, a first competition for some, competing at this level!! It was brilliant to see a full CETC podium when Ava Harvey (3rd) Madeline Smith(2nd) and Kelly Wynne (1st) won FIG 13-14 Woman category!
Our youngest CETC competitor of the day, Archie Lawson, completed all routines and passes in TRA & DMT - at his first competition! Brilliant Archie!
Lauren Millar competed in NDP Performance 19+ ladies - her first time competing this year! She completed 3 lovely routines, narrowly missing the Nationals qualifying score.

MASSIVE WELL DONE to everyone!
THANK YOU to our brilliant coaching team, all our officials and the parents, for their support/chauffeuring/cheerleading/ photography & video skills!

CETC attended the second British Spring Series of 2018, held in Sheffield on 1st and June 2018. This was the final qualification event to gain the scores and placings for FIG British Championships 2018, which will be held in Birmingham this September!
Madeline Smith and Ava Harvey both competed in 13-14 FIG DMT ladies’ category. Ava finished 10th with a score of 119.800, managing to gain the qualification score for British Championships. Madeline finished in 13th place with a score of 118.300 - just missing the score for British in this event. However, Madeline had already managed to achieve the score in Spring Series 1!

Madeline and Ava also competed trampoline in NDP Performance 13-14 girls. They both completed 3 very nice routines at this event, finishing 12th (Madeline) and 13th (Ava). Unfortunately, both girls needed to finish in top 8 position to qualify for NDP finals in July.

Caitlin O’Brien, competing for FIG Senior Ladies, gave a brilliant performance, completing 4 amazing passes – one being brand new that she even finished with a stuck landing!! Caitlin finished 2nd place at this event, beating her last placing at Spring series 1.

All 3 Girls have qualified for this year’s British Championships in September, which is amazing!
CETC are very proud of you all!!
Congratulations!!!
