BG Spring Series 1- Telford

CETC had a great weekend at the first British Spring Series of 2018, held in Telford on 28th & 29th April.
In DMT FIG 13-14 girls, Madeline Smith finished 11th with a score of 119.8, securing the qualification score for British Championships 2018. Ava Harvey finished 18th with a score of 90.4. In TRA NDP Performance 13-14 girls, both girls completed 3 clean routines with Madeline Smith finishing 11th with a score of 121.265
Ava Harvey finishing 15th with a score of 117.915.
The top 8 scorers from 1 & 2 British Spring Series events will proceed to British NDP (National Development Pathway) Finals in July -  so a promising start of the season for the girls.
In DMT FIG Senior Women, current World Age Champion Caitlin O’Brien gave a sterling performance finishing in 3rd place with a total of 130.5 & qualifying for British Championships 2018! Caitlin smashed her previous PB (European Championships 2018) of 67.7 by a full mark, with a first round personal best of 67.7!!
Massive well done also to CETC/Banchory Ciara Donlevy, who performed brilliantly to secure 4th place, and also qualified for British Championships!
The Club is very proud of the girls' achievements this weekend in Telford, and all are looking forward to commencing training for the next Spring Series in June.

CETC Senior DMT & GB Squad gymnast, Caitlin O'Brien, will compete at the European Trampoline, DMT & Tumbling Championships 2018, which take place in Baku, Azerbaijan from 12th-15th April.
Caitlin - who is the current  17-21yrs World Age Group DMT Champion - will compete in the Individual & Team events for Senior Women DMT, & everyone at the Club wishes Caitlin & all the other GB gymnasts taking part-  massive Good Luck at the event.
Caitlin's preliminary rounds will start at 9am on Thursday 12th April.

SG NDP REGIONAL TEAM SEMI-FINALS - March 2018

On Saturday 17th March 2018, CETC attended the Scottish Gymnastics Regional Team Semi-Finals event for trampoline and DMT. This event was held at Bell’s Sports Centre Perth.
CETC had 20 competitors from NDP 1 through to NDP 5 for trampoline, and 19 gymnasts for the DMT competition -from NDP 1 through to NDP 6!!!  Well done to everybody that took part, you were all a credit to the Club.
As our senior coaches were celebrating the forthcoming nuptials of Kayleigh Jeffrey, J  the coaching team was led by Rebecca Stevenson, Leona Scott, Lucy Ellis and Caitlin O’Brien, all of whom volunteered to coach all day and did a wonderful job!  Great support was shown from all CETC members and Parents who came along to support.
CETC have 3 Trampoline and 9 DMT gymnasts competing for Scotland at the Regional Team Finals which will be held in Birmingham in June!!

SCOTTISH GYMNASTICS REGIONAL TEAM FINALS EVENT - JANUARY 2018

On Saturday 27 January and Sunday 28 January 2018,CETC attended the first Scottish Gymnastics Regional Team Finals qualifying event for trampoline and DMT. This event was held at our own venue – The Lasswade Centre! Trampolining was held on Saturday, and DMT on Sunday. This was the first event for the new CETC competition Trampoline and DMT Leotards- which were amazing!

CETC had 26 competitors from NDP 1 through to NDP 5 for trampoline, and 22 gymnasts for the DMT competition - from NDP 1 through to NDP 6!!! For 6 of our members - this was their first ever SG competition and they all did extremely well. 

Five of our Senior coaching team - Lauren Jeffrey, Lauren Millar, Kayleigh Jeffrey, Kirsty Beaton and Lucy Ellis volunteered to coach all day on both days, and coach Laura Harrison was there to help too. We were definitely the loudest club there! Great support was shown from all CETC members and Parents who were watching!! Great Team spirit! 

CETC managed to gain an amazing 12 Trampoline Qualifiers and 14 DMT Qualifiers for the semi-final event in March!! To top it off, CETC gymnasts secured an incredible 7 Medals for TRAMPOLINE and 6 for DMT! CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017

CETC Club Championships  took place on 26 November 2017 at Lasswade, our main training hub, over three quarters of Club members participating across individual Trampoline, Synchro and Double-mini trampoline. The day was a great success, with event t-shirts (organised by club Kit Officer Lauren Millar), tuck shop, Kit sale stall, and a very well stocked bake- sale stall, run by Gill O'Brien & family. This was to raise funds for our very first World Champion (17-21 DMT) Caitlin O’Brien's International competition attendance, which was generously stocked with donations from  her fellow Club mates & Club parents. Certificates were awarded to all participants in Trampoline and DMT, with medals awarded for the top 3 placings in each age group and level, presented by our Committee members, judges, volunteers and coaches. Overall level prizes were awarded to the following individuals who scored highest in their level across all age categories:
