CETC piloted the first on-line delivery of the Scottish Gymnastics Leadership Award course.The course content is designed to be accessible & relevant for any club members, including gymnasts, coaches, committee members & volunteers from age 12 years & up.
Over 30 CETC learners have completed the course so far, and it’s been a great opportunity to assist our young people in gaining a transferable qualification for their CV's.
We’re really excited to be able to announce our Bounceback from lockdown – again!!
Our first classes will resume at Astro GC, Livingston on Friday 30th April, with Lasswade following on Tuesday 11th May, & finally Meadowmill on Wednesday 12th May.
CETC are the first club in Scotland to pilot the on- line Scottish Gymnastics Leadership Course. The number of CETC coaches & gymnasts showing interest enabled 3 courses to be rolled out consecutively over February & March 2021. A 4th on-line course is scheduled for CETC members in April/May.
CETC normally support a cancer charity each year by holding a fundraising event at the Club. As we are unable to do that this year- we have chosen to support the charity ‘Against Breast Cancer’ during the month of March - & are asking all Club members, families & friends to donate their unwanted bras to help raise vital funds for pioneering breast cancer research.
We may not be back in the gym just yet- but that doesn’t mean our gymnasts & coaches haven’t been busy at CETC!
Head Coach Lauren has been organising a weekly timetable of ’Online Programmes’, with the help of senior coaches, to keep members engaged until we are able to open up classes again.
As we couldn’t have our usual end of term Christmas party day this year- we turned it into a fun Christmas Jumper & Party WEEK!
Gymnasts attended classes throughout the week wearing their favourite Christmas jumpers (the more outrageous, the better!) & every session this week was a fun-filled session with lots of games.
