Thank you to everyone who helped out at the bagpacking event at TESCO in HADDINGTON, EAST LOTHIAN on SATURDAY 13 OCTOBER 2012.

We had lots of volunteers on the day, and would like to thank all the members, parents , friends and coaches, who gave up some of their time to help pack bags at the checkouts and raise funds for the Club. Thanks also to Tesco, for the helpfullness of their staff - and the generous people of Haddington, who raised a fantastic amount for Club funds. Money raised will purchase an iPad for recording and playing back routines to assist during training, and a shiny new lens for Andy's camera!

Edinburgh and the Lothians Spree Voucher Books are now available for sale again this year at the Club. This is a great way to raise funds for the Club - and save money at the same time.

There are lots of vouchers for restaurants, cinemas and health clubs etc, many of which are 2 for 1 or a % off the total bill.

There will be a copy of the book available to view at all Club classes. We hope that members can help to sell some books through asking family, friends and colleagues.

Final date for orders is 27 September 2012. Please contact coach Lauren Millar for any further details.

SPONSORED SOMMERSAULTATHORN

CETC held a Sponsored Bounce on Sunday 1st July with the aim of completing 12,000 sommersaults in 3 hours from 11am-2pm. This was a very tough challenge and meant that we needed to complete an average of 666 sommersaults on each of the 6 trampolines per hour!!! The Sponsored Bounce was organised to help members raise money to help pay for their new tracksuits.

The day was a huge success with members of all ages and abilities taking part. Thanks to all parents who stayed and helped throughout the day, counting sommersaults and taking orders, and to all coaches who helped support the kids throughout the day (and even took part - including Head Coach, Lauren Jeffrey!!)

Despite the huge challenge set, CETC once again rose to the challenge and smashed the target, completing a total of 18,469 sommersaults!!!! That’s an average of 6156 per hour, 103 per minute and 560 per person!
Well done to everyone who took part! Think we need to go for a world record soon!

A huge thanks must go to Lasswade High School Centre who donated the hall time to us for this fundraising event.
