Busy Weekend of Events for CETC!

It was all go at the weekend for CETC’s TRA & DMT gymnasts! DMT FIG gymnast Holly, competed at the Scalabis Cup International competition in Santarem, Portugal, which was held from 10th – 12th July. This was Holly’s first International event representing Scotland in the Senior Womens category. Preliminary rounds held on Friday, saw Holly finish in 7th place - & secure a spot in the Finals! The final was held early on Saturday morning- with Holly securing 5th place overall. Great result Holly!
CETC boys, Archie, Ollie & Adam, were all down in Birmingham from 11th – 13th July, for the Inter- Regional Challenge Cup Final – representing Scotland Region. Archie was first one to compete on Saturday morning, in the DMT Level 3 Male 13-14 category, where he completed two excellent passes – winning gold!! Next up was Ollie, competing in the TRA Level 2 Mens 15+ category. He held his nerves well, & completed two lovely routines, taking 10th place in his category.
A very early start on day 2 of the event on Sunday, saw Adam – also competing on trampoline- in the Level 3 Mens 15+ category, produce two excellent routines, securing a 13th place finish.
The last of the CETC boys to compete at the event was Archie- this time on trampoline- in the Level 4 Male 13-14 category. Archie again pulled out all the stops to win his second medal of the weekend – taking 2nd place in this category!
Congratulations to all four CETC TRA & DMT gymnasts – Holly, Archie, Adam & Ollie- who represented Scotland over the weekend! You did yourselves, the Club & Scotland proud! Well Done!
